My fiber art often focuses on extremes and contrasts such as violence and beauty, simplicity and complexity, the heroic and the common.  I try to use materials I have on hand so if I do not have something specific I need for a project, I make it. Producing "something out of nothing" is very satisfying.  My materials are hand dyed, hand painted, braided, worn, torn, frayed, pieced, machine stiched, cut, zigzagged and hand stiched  Metallic fabric paint, oil based paints, and spray enamels are added to the mix for fun.  Each piece is a journey with a story to tell.
