My work includes quilts and sculpture with a metaphorical overlay of personal stories. Fabric elements evoke sensuality and security. Layering references the passage of time. Favorite motifs include the house form and the spiral with connotations of growth and natural progression. Creating art allows a connection between my conscious self and the elusive unconscious, occasionally bringing to me a brilliant moment of clarity.
